General Counsel

Description:

A Recycling Center is in growth mode and currently seeking an Attorney to act as General Counsel.
Qualifications/Requirements:

• Juris Doctor Degree Required
• Admitted to practice in New York State
• Minimum 10 years of civil litigation experience in A Recycling Center.
• Experience drafting correspondence, pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery demands, and responses.
• Leadership/Management experience, you must be willing and able to take on all major matters personally and to guide junior counsel.
• Fluent understanding of electronic filing via NYSCEF.
• Reliable, hardworking, and motivated.
• Drug free

General Counsel Responsibilities:

• Provide General Counsel to Senior Management team and other attorneys.
• Settlements
• Discovery demands and depositions
• Court appearances when needed
• Possible trial work
