JOB SUMMARY
Independently and autonomously ensures execution of a significant share of the company's
Gas Liquids Operations (GLO) program in accordance with SIP Initiative 15.04 (
Gas Liquids Operations). Partners with other departments (Field Operations, Pipeline Logistics, Fuels Compliance, GLO Fuels Optimization, Quality Assurance and Quality Control) to optimize ONEOK’s GLO program.
This position is on-call 24/7 with seasonal weekend and evening responsibilities. Frequent evening and weekend activity can be expected from September to April, peaking in the months of October and March.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
GLO PROSPECTING, FORECASTING AND SCHEDULING:
Review the mainline pump schedules and batch volatility data in multiple computer application systems. Evaluate gasoline load rack demand and gasoline inventories at multiple Gas Liquids operations locations. Identify locations where Gas Liquids operations should be performed by completing analysis and comparisons of known gasoline volatilities and tables of allowable gasoline volatilities, terminal inventories and the mainline schedules. Coordinate deliveries of blendstocks to locations where Gas Liquids operations will be executed. Work in a cooperative team setting with other departments (Field Operations, Pipeline Logistics and Quality Control) to optimize all Gas Liquids operations conducted at tank farms. Respond to specific orders for blendstock delivery from Gas Liquids operations locations.
BLENDSTOCK LOGISTICS AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:
Perform independently to attain individual and group goals for Gas Liquids operations performance. Track blendstock consumption and forecast demand to ensure Gas Liquids operations are not disrupted by supply shortages. Calculate blendstock volumes as needed for Gas Liquids operations using complex tables and mathematical formulas. Calculate travel times for truck transport from various blendstock supply origins to company locations where Gas Liquids operations are to be executed. Develop, communicate and coordinate execution of cost-effective multi-layered blendstock transportation and delivery schedule. Regularly interact with blendstock suppliers and blendstock carrier representatives, and occasionally customers.
COMPLIANCE ASSURANCE:
Develop and execute the Gas Liquids operations schedule with consideration given to complex federal regulatory requirements. Ensure that appropriate blendstock grades are delivered to locations according to company environmental compliance strategies. Coordinate collection of blendstock samples from Gas Liquids operations with field operations personnel. Evaluate and ensure conformance with the terms contained within Blendstock Terminaling Agreements and Transportation Services Agreements. Represent the company at customer and supplier meetings.
GLO SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENT:
Ensure achievement of the company’s Gas Liquids volume plan. Involves remaining on call 24/7 (and as scheduled during weekends), in order to respond in an expedited manner to disruptions to Gas Liquids operations caused by mainline schedule changes, field operations emergencies, carrier delays, and supply disruptions. Make corrections to adapt the Gas Liquids operations schedule to changing conditions, and coordinate field operations, blendstock suppliers and transport contractors to minimize lost blending opportunities.
GLO REPORTING:
Through utilization of data from a Quality Management System (QMS) and other sources, report Gas Liquids operations blendstock volumes geographically by month in support of commodities sales and hedging operations. Completes reporting to external agencies. Efficient utilization of Microsoft Office 365 products to analyze and prepare reports related to GLO to provide management with performance monitoring.
