SalaryMcElroy Manufacturing is looking for a dependable, self-motivated, and knowledgeable Purchasing Coordinator to work with our Purchasing Department. A successful Purchasing Coordinator will have Supply Chain knowledge and be able to demonstrate critical thinking and creative problem solving. They will support the needs of the department in order to achieve company objectives for inventory levels, cost and quality, identify and communicate obstacles to meeting schedules, work with suppliers, understand the requirements associated with assigned parts, and review and resolve invoice issues.
General Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Purchasing or related field.
- Proficient in standard business application software and manufacturing/enterprise resource planning systems.
- Proven time management skills required.
- Project work experience preferred.
- Some knowledge of manufacturing terminology preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and sketches.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.
- Infor XA experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to handle multiple, time-sensitive tasks.
- Valid Drivers License and the ability to drive personal vehicle within the Tulsa metro area to other McElroy campuses as required.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Must be able to routinely work sitting at a computer workstation 80% of normal workday.
- Balance of workday may require bending, squatting, and lifting.
- Mobility required between multi-building complex covering several acres.
