Saybrook University seeks a Federal Work-Study Student to join its Department of Research as a Project Assistant. Federal Work Study Student: Project Assistant is responsible for carrying out various tasks to support the Department of Research faculty.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Under the supervision of the Chair of the Department of Research, Project Assistants contribute to various Department of Research projects, including developing policies and procedures, reviewing research curricula, providing QA for department syllabi, preparing monthly newsletters, and reviewing and creating research resources for the Academic Commons.
Position responsibilities for the Project Assistant role include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement online forms.
Create and/or update department databases.
Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed.
Collect and review research, curricula, policies, and resources.
Prepare flowcharts and descriptions of the research sequence and procedures.
Create drafts of official committee correspondence and meeting notes.
Contribute to developing new processes and procedures regarding syllabi revision and publication.
Assist with the development of University Learning Experience materials and other presentations.
Create MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Forms for various projects.
Use MS Teams Position Requirements:
Candidate must be a current Saybrook doctoral student in good standing.
Must have applied for federal work-study via the FAFSA.
Adhere to FERPA confidentiality standards.
Position Qualifications:
Competency with APA 7 style and formatting.
Experience using MS Office 365 tools, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Forms, and MS Teams.
Experience using videoconferencing software (Zoom).
Technologically skilled in communication, presentation, and Canvas online learning system.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
