The Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Fund Accountant whose primary responsibility will be to support the Director of Finance and Operations and serve as the record keeper of 424’s funds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Finance and Operations/Chief Compliance Officer with the following:
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Quarterly closing of Private Equity Fund books
• Coordination of tax return preparation with 424’s tax advisor
• Assistance with quarterly and annual compliance reviews
• Assist with the annual audit process for the Funds and prepare schedules required by the Fund’s auditors
• Assist with SEC audit requests as needed
• Assist with the management of third-party fund administrator
• Assist with ad-hoc internal and external reporting requests
• Assist with capital allocations and capital call and distribution calculations
• Create distribution templates for the firm’s entities
• Assist with the review of distribution templates issued by third-party fund administrator
• Disseminate quarterly packages and audited statements to investors

To be considered for the role, the following qualifications are required:

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in the field
• A Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with an ability to effectively utilize spreadsheet functions and formulas
• The ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet multiple reporting deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• A keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in financial analysis and reporting
• Strong interpersonal skills, including transparency, trustworthiness, confidence, and competence
• The ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive financial information
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to both internal and external stakeholders
• A self-motivated and driven mindset, coupled with high energy and a natural curiosity to drive continuous improvement
