As aGlobal Category Manager, you will have accountability for an assigned spend category and will lead commercial procurement activity and manage a global supply base. You will develop long term strategic plans for the category and manage customer and supplier relationships to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future Business needs. This role is part of our Operations team, where we adapt and innovate at pace. Experience the excitement and varied challenges as we launch new products.

Accountabilities:

As a Global Category Manager, you will develop Category and Supplier Strategies and oversee implementation of category/sub category plans. You will work with relevant Category Lead(s), Local Procurement Teams and Global Biologic stakeholders to ensure a fully integrated and customer-aligned AZ-wide category plan. You will manage a Supply base as defined within the category strategy ensuring robust commercial activity, relationship and risk management. You will also lead sourcing activity as defined within the category strategy and analyze, manage and resolve issues arising in delivering procurement objectives.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 – 7 years of relevant experience.

• Relevant work experience, including Procurement experience.

• Supplier Management experience.

• Ability to demonstrate a range of influencing techniques

• Proven track record to manage change

• Strong negotiation, analytical and financial skills

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Experience in Cell Gene Therapy

• Experience in managing Direct Materials

• Knowledge of global supply chain management
