Full-Time Recreation Assistant - Golf Course

The Town of Henrietta is looking to fill the position of Full Time Recreation Assistant.

General Description: This position is responsible for working in the Riverton Oaks Municipal Golf Course pro shop throughout the golf season. During the months that the Golf Course is closed, this position will shift to full time hours at the Henrietta Recreation Center. This position will be scheduled to work 40 hours weekly and will include some evening and weekend hours. This is a permanent, non-competitive, Civil Service position and includes union membership and employee benefits.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collection of fees for season passes and rounds of golf.

· Scheduling of Golf Course tee times.

· Golf Cart Rentals; including pulling, cleaning and parking carts.

· Transporting disk golfers out to the course and picking them up.

· Sales of pro shop merchandise.

· Inventory of pro shop merchandise.

· Light cleaning.

· Assist Golf Course Superintendent with reporting.

· Other tasks as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent and Director of Parks and Recreation.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Strong customer service skills.

· Ability to process receipt of payment.

· Basic knowledge of golf preferred.

· Enjoys working with the public.

· Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a valid NYS driver’s license.

Hourly Rate: $20.61

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.61 per hour
