Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Authorization Specialist to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role within the home care industry. As an Authorization Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive the necessary services by obtaining authorizations from insurance companies and updating the information in our system.

Responsibilities:

• Authorization Processing: Obtain authorizations from insurance companies for patient services, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• System Updates: Enter and update authorization information in the system to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Communication: Collaborate with insurance providers, healthcare professionals, and internal teams to facilitate the authorization process and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Verification: Verify patient insurance information to determine coverage and eligibility for services.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any authorization-related issues promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Minimum One Year Experience: Proven experience in a similar authorization role within the home care industry.
• Knowledge of Home Care Services: Familiarity with home care services and the specific authorization requirements associated with such services.
