The Longwood Medical Area Childcare Center (LMACCC) is hiring a Full-Time Infant and Toddler Teacher to join our amazing team. We are seeking teachers who are caring, passionate about learning, and looking to make a positive difference in children's lives. Our teachers work collaboratively with one another and our tenured management staff is here to support you every step of the way.
Full-time and part-time positions available with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers! Responsibilities: Gain a positive, hands-on experience caring for infant and toddler children. Assist the Infant/Toddler Supervisor and Preschool Supervisor as needed.
Create and lead fun and age appropriate activities based on the children's interests and needs. In order to best accommodate LMACCC staff, full-time teachers will work two early shifts per week, two late shifts per week, and one rotating shift per week. Early shifts are from 7 am-3 pm and late shifts are 10 am-6 pm.
Provide an encouraging, welcoming, and safe environment that meets the needs of young children. Assist in planning and implementing daily activities and curriculum to help promote positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Encourage and foster positive relationships, interactions, and communication between staff parents, and children.
Serve as a supportive member of our team both in the classroom and within LMACCC. Participate in fun staff events such as pajama day in order to foster a positive environment. Requirements: At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Infant/Toddler OR Preschool EEC certification. Candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to ensure compliance with enhanced health and safety protocols.
Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool preferred. Previous professional teaching experience a plus! Qualifications: Positive, reliable, and encouraging personality.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively. Excellent team player; flexible. Ready to learn!
Openness to new ideas and/or approaches. Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. Excellent communications skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, physically lift a minimum of 35 pounds, participate in physical activities including walking with children, go up and down stairs while supervising children, and always maintain full sight and sound supervision of children.
