Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Infant and Toddler Teacher to join our team. As an Infant and Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and creating a positive learning environment. If you have experience working in a daycare, a love for teaching, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of children, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and curriculum for infant and toddler-aged children.
- Assist the Infant/Toddler Supervisor and Preschool Supervisor as needed.
- In order to best accommodate LMACCC staff, full-time teachers will work two early shifts per week, two late shifts per week, and one rotating shift per week. Early shifts are from 7 am-3 pm and late shifts are 10 am-6 pm.
- Create an encouraging, welcoming, and safe environment that helps promote positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child's unique needs and abilities.
- Encourage and foster positive relationships, interactions, and communication between staff, parents, and children.
- Serve as a supportive member of our team both in the classroom and within LMACCC.
- Participate in fun staff events in order to foster a positive environment.
Requirements:
- Infant/Toddler OR Preschool EEC certification.
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to ensure compliance with enhanced health and safety protocols.
- Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.

- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Patient, creative, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.
- Ready to learn! Openness to new ideas and/or approaches.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, physically lift a minimum of 35 pounds, participate in physical activities including walking with children, go up and down stairs while supervising children, and always maintain full sight and sound supervision of children.
