- Required: Enrolled full time in an accredited ADN, BSN , or direct entry MSN program; Have completed their first semester of an ADN, BSN or direct entry MSN program
- Required: Submit a copy of most recent transcript; GPA of 3.0 or higher required

- Required: American Heart Association BLS

- Essential Responsibilities
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Adheres to the evidence-based standards of care and standards of practice, policies and procedures of the hospital and the Department of Nursing.
- Provide safe, effective patient care including but not limited to ADLs, mobility and safety concerns.
- Assist patients with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, feeding, elimination, positioning and bed linen changes.
- Assists with admitting, discharging, transferring and transporting patients.
- Obtains and accurately documents pertinent patient information including but not limited to vital signs, weights, Inputs and Outputs, oxygen saturation, care observation and reports all abnormalities to the RN in a timely manner.
- In a courteous manner instructs patients in various basic procedures and communicated effectively with the patient and family members. Provides encouragement, support and comfort to patients and family members.
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition utilizing computerized documentation.
- Provides age and culturally appropriate care.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Prioritize tasks and job assignments.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- To research and coordinate information and distribute accordingly.
- Understands the various procedures within the department.
- Maintain and foster a collaborative relationship with peers.
- Maintain enrollment in a nursing program.
