JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates production of wide format and digital material, in addition to overseeing all Fulfillment operations.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs operations of the Fulfillment, Wide Format and Digital print departments.
- Coordinates production of work between Hagerstown and Falls Church facilities.
- Procures additional labor resources from Manpower as necessary.
- Enforces adherence to Quality Control procedures.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Implements employee performance management programs. Writes and delivers employee reviews, keeps close tabs on employee morale and creates a positive working environment.
- Proactively coaches supervisors and production teams
- Continual process improvement and workflow change management
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Plans layout of warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
- Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
- Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.
- Avoidance/Reduction of spoilages by adherence to strict quality control standards
- Creates action plans to address spoilage and equipment failure root cause analyses
- Communicate internally as required to meet deadlines
- Adheres to a high standard of professionalism in all communications and interactions.
- Back up for Scheduling
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of any Inventory software; generic Order processing systems; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Word Processing software.
