Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure team members meet compliance standards prior to attending trainings
Facilitate standardized orientation, as well as department and Leadership Development training
Assist with supervisor of Human Resources training team
Update and maintain team member training files via Team Hire and Green Light for all related training sessions, including communication with team members and park departments when a team member is not compliant
Assist with all team member communications, to include flyers, team member newsletter, bulletin boards, daily communication pamphlets and team member website
Assist with planning, advertising, executing and recapping team member events
Help conduct team member survey collection
Ensure a positive guest and team member experience through team member training
Act as a liaison between Human Resources and park operating areas
Consistently practice safe work habits including but not limited to use of personal protective equipment, lifting, driving, and reporting of unsafe situations
Assist the Training and Development team with special park, SEA, and community projects as assigned
Requirements and Competencies:
Must have a high school diploma. College degree preferred.
Previous public speaking/presentation experience required
Guest service experience preferred
Must have no performance deficiencies within one (1) year
Must have flexible work schedule to include holidays, nights and weekends
Must have a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPoint and Excel
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time in all weather conditions
Must be able to lift, push/pull at least 20 pounds
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, to include speaking effectively before small and large groups of people
Must be able to motivate team members to achieve park standards (i.e. guest service, cleanliness, safety and quality)
Must be able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages, and individuals with special needs
Must be willing to work as part of a team, as well as work independently with little or no supervision
Must be able to organize resources, establish priorities and monitor multiple projects and assignments
Must be able to maintain a professional image and manage confidential information appropriately
Must consistently practice safe work habits including but not limited to use of personal protective equipment, lifting, driving, and reporting of unsafe situations
Must be able to complete all required Train-the-Trainer programs and certifications required for delivery of trainings
Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
Must assist with other Human Resources areas as needed, park activities and other responsibilities as assigned
