- Work closely with the Consumer Direct sales teams and sales leadership to evaluate data on performance, conversion, strengths and weaknesses, and overall performance of the individual sales team members.
- Develop targeted training to address any deficiencies with the goal of increasing the productivity of both the individual and the team.
- Conducts sales call reviews (call monitoring) to understand current performance and training needs.
- Working with a SME and an Instructional Designer, develop an ongoing training program to refresh skills, introduce new concepts and materials, to help ensure the sales team is informed and performing optimally.
- Acts as the primary facilitator, including authoring any sales scripts, regarding any product changes, new products, or retiring products out to the various sales teams to keep them informed and up to date with the most current product suite.
- Working with a SME and an Instructional Designer, develop a comprehensive Sales Skills training program for each loan product offered at Lakeview.
- Works with the VP of CD Sales Training to assist with onboarding training of new MLOs, focused on the product training and Sales Skills for the products; ensures the MLOs are ready to add value.
- Functions as a key team member when vetting systems, outside vendors, and new technology.
- Help coach and develop sales team members based on team and individual goals and company initiatives.
- Consistently review performance to aid in sales program development.
- Facilitate virtual and in-person learning programs, employing learning strategies to deepen learner’s knowledge/skill development.
- Leads or works on special projects as required. Other duties as needed or required.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer
- 5+ years’ experience as a Mortgage Sales Skills Trainer/Coach
- Demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning principles and proficiency in distance learning applications and supportive, interactive tools
- Outstanding written and verbal communicator
- Thrives in a rapidly evolving, dynamic environment, high level of comfort with ambiguity
- Flexible and a self-starter; able to manage multiple projects and processes while remaining extremely detail-oriented
- Highly collaborative; equally effective as a project leader and a team player
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to learn loan origination system and automated underwriting system
- Understands and complies with requirements of applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
- Experience with building relationships with internal and external customers.
- Proven ability to understand company products, policies and procedures, and underwriting requirements
- Some travel may be required (e.g., meetings, learning event facilitation)
