Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain patient records and update medical information in the system
- Assist with medical scheduling and coordinate appointments with healthcare providers
- Handle administrative tasks such as faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure the front desk and/or check-out desk area is clean and organized
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office
- Previous experience in using eClinicalWorks, or similar medical software systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA regulations
