Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with medical administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a Medical Office or providing medical administrative support
- Proficiency in medical scheduling systems, such as Epic or similar software
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
