Front Office Medical Assistant

Front Office/Medical Assistant needed for fast paced Doctors office in Placentia.

This position is Full-time, Monday-Friday 9:00AM-6:00PM. Desired skills are medical front and back office experience, able to multitask, hard working, reliable, flexible in hours, pleasant and warm personality and willingness to help and work with other employees in an ever changing field.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Medical Assistant Certificate
• One year of experience in customer service environment preferred
• Demonstrated Intermediate knowledge of PC
• Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Greeting and checking out the patients

Faxing

Answering phones

Scheduling and coordinating appointments

Patient registration

Collects payments for copays, prescriptions, bills, etc.

Assisting with medical records

Scanning and filing documents into electronic medical records system

Providing support to the back office when needed

Checking eligibility, Insurance verification, and authorizations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
