Front Desk Receptionist/Scheduler

We are a small startup dental office located in the Southcenter area looking for a Dental Billing Specialist/Front Desk Receptionist. Come join our great fun and dedicated team! We look forward to meeting!

Responsibilities:

The Dental Billing Specialist performs a variety of tasks and duties including, but not limited to:

• Communicate well with patients and explain insurance benefits.
• Process dental claims for pre-authorization, billing.
• Follow up with any unpaid dental claims, auditing accounts, processing refunds, setting up payment plans.
• Taking Credit Card payments and payments on the phone.
• Entering patient and insurance payments.
• Sending primary, secondary and tertiary claims with attachments. Appropriately attaching claim attachments to insurance claims.
• Answer phones and schedule patients on Denticon patient management software.
• Send patient reminders and bill patients electronically.

Qualifications:

• Should be familiar with dental terminology and basic charting.
• Have a firm understanding of dental insurance benefits and payments.
• Is able to verify patient eligibility/benefits.
• Should be able to understand CDT codes on claims and EOB’s for Dental Insurance.
• Is able to coordinate and understand financial arrangements for patient accounts.
• Must have excellent communication and math skills.
• Looking for a self-starter with high level of initiative.
• Must be computer literate/proficient, comfortable with Dental Patient Management Software, online verification of benefits, and Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• Previous dental insurance billing experience is the BEST, will consider medical billing background.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
