We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our Urgent Care team. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience working in a medical environment and possesses strong interpersonal communication skills. This is a fast-paced Front Desk position, where the receptionist will be responsible for registering visitors, answering phones and assisting patients while simultaneously completing assigned administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Register patients and obtain their demographic and insurance information.
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage.
- Schedule appointments and answer phone calls.
- Manage patient charts and records.
- Collect and process payments for services rendered.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic health records systems
