Lake Worth Counseling is a busy Mental Health Counseling group in the Northwest Fort Worth area. We are actively seeking a mature high-energy & experienced medical/mental health Front Desk/Intake Receptionist with flexible hours to work alongside our amazing administrative team! Strong multi-tasking skills are a must!
This is a Full-Time Position with regular hours from 8:30a-5:00p Monday-Friday; however the flexibility to open the office as early as 7:30a is required.
Primary responsibility includes fulfilling the day-to-day administrative aspects of Front Desk receptionist in a mental health private practice. The Front desk Receptionist is responsible for answering incoming calls, interacting with clients, and scheduling appointments. Additional duties may include patient onboarding, insurance verification, and routine office duties.
Requirements
· Highly proficient customer service and communication skills.
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
· 2 or more years of experience as a medical or mental health receptionist in clinic or ambulatory environment and EHR systems
· Competent computer skills including MS Office or equivalent, email, scanner, printers
· The ability to adhere to a compliance program and HIPAA standards and policies.
· Able to receive and apply constructive input for performance improvement and growth.
Exceptional attendance is a MUST. Bilingual preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
· Greet, welcome, and check in clients while working to minimize and solve wait times or other reception area issues. Client checkout and scheduling as necessary.
· Collect and verify client profile information including demographics, validation of identity, insurance plans and payment information.
· Complete phone intakes and collect registration and consent forms, DL and Insurance card.
· Accurately identify Fee Scale /Co-pay determinations. Collect and process visit charges, co-pays, deductibles, previous cash balances and notices of overdue payments at time of visit.
· Manage incoming phone calls, emails, messages, and referrals to completion and in a timely fashion.
· Prepare for upcoming visits such as review of next day activities, visit reminders, document preparations, form completion and chart flags.
· Perform appointing functions with accuracy and per client or provider request, such as scheduling appointments, managing cancellations, re-schedules, visit cycles and wait lists.
· Monitor and follow up on client waitlists as needed while ensuring caseloads are full.
· Cover front and back desk duties as needed including shift coverage, intakes, and insurance verification.
· Maintain medical records with timely input of incoming scans, documents.
· Work with clinical team to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow and operations.
· Participate in staff meetings and provide constructive input for improvements and solutions.
· A flexible work schedule may be required due to work/project demands.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
