We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of receptionist in our office. We are looking for a vibrant, motivated, and creative individual with the ability to multitask and who has a strong attention to detail. This position requires analytical strength and the ability to work as part of a team. 3rd party healthcare knowledge and experience is a plus! Must have a vehicle and be willing to drive if necessary.
Responsibilities include:
- Intake of new referrals
- Assigning appropriate providers to each child
- Initial entry of accurate child records in database
- Verifying commercial insurance coverage and benefits
- Collects all necessary documents from families
- Initial request of authorizations for evaluations and services before scheduling
- Re-staffing of cases as needed
- Ensuring that therapist required hours are assigned
- Contacting parents with any case updates
- Provides weekly updates on incoming/staffed referrals
- Outreach for new referrals
- Growth of program
- Other tasks assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Some college required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -- must be confident and assertive
- Extreme attention to detail
- Strong customer service, organization, prioritizing, time management skills
- Knowledge of MS Office -- Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to meet challenging goals and deadlines
Other Requirements:
- Bilingual Spanish required
- Must have daily access to reliable transportation
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Clerical duties, filing, faxing, answering phones, scheduling.
