Private Country Club in Northfield is looking for a full or part time receptionist. Must be able to enjoy a fun working environment and take pleasure in providing high quality service to an active membership.

The right individual possesses the following experience and qualities:
- Represent the club in a welcoming manner when greeting members/guests by phone and/or in person, facilitating needs and directing them appropriately.
- Notify personnel of visitor arrival.
- Ability to understand and convey specific knowledge of club operations, to include standard operating details for each department (i.e. hours, rules), special club events, private parties.
- Collect, post and processes outgoing mail in a timely and efficient manner.
- Receive deliveries, and ensure correct departments are notified.
- Assists with fulfilling member/guests’ requests (i.e., club directions, places phone-calls, holds letters, or packages)
- Maintain and responsible for correct balances in petty cash box.
- Update daily lobby message board.
- Check email system daily to ensure all reservations are documented accurately.
- Check voicemail system throughout the day and update reservations and communicate requests as needed.
- Responsible for obtaining and providing dining information to membership/guests such as Soup of the Day or event details to members who are inquiring.
- Work and communicate as a reception team with AM/PM employees by completing daily shift notes.
- Keep the Front Desk organized, clutter free, and welcoming.
- Assisting members/guests with coats and keeping the common area and coat-closet neat and organized.
- Performs all duties pertaining to typing and the preparation of details/information for each Club event as outlined by the Catering Director, Assistant General Manager and/or the General Manager.
- Ability to make confirmation calls for Club Event Reservations at least 1 week in advance of the event.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, to both membership and employees.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft programs to include publisher, excel, word.
Must be able to read, write, and apply correct grammar and spelling rules at a level generally acquired through a high school education.
- Mature, professional and “service-centric” attitude and appearance.
- Open to change, continued learning and upgrading skillset.
- Adhere to all guidelines written in the employee handbook.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and have strong time management skills.
- Detailed Oriented and Organizational skills required.
- Position requires one (1) month or less to become qualified to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience)
