Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Promptly and professionally answering a high volume of telephone calls
· Greeting patients and their families as they arrive
· Checking patients in for their appointments
· Completing paperwork and entering/updating information as necessary
· Sending electronic messages to nurses and providers
· Verifying insurance eligibility
· Explaining financial requirements to the patients or responsible parties
· Collecting patient copays/payments
· Reconciling payments collected at the end of the day
· Rescheduling/canceling appointments
· Scanning necessary forms/documents to patient’s charts
· Aiding new patients seeking medical care
· Maintaining new patient data spreadsheets and records
· Communicating with patients to schedule appointments according to scheduling guidelines
· Making appointment reminder calls
· Provide outstanding customer service to referring clinic staff
· Performs other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications:
· Ability to multitask efficiently
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Immensely organized
· Working knowledge of computer applications
· Detail oriented
· Focused
· Ability to plan and schedule tasks to maintain control of own workflow
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
