FRONT DESK MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY
This position contributes to Bare Necessity Wax & Spa success by ensuring total client satisfaction, especially relating to the service clients receive in all areas of the Front Desk, through interaction that exceeds expectations; with a focus on our standards.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Take a lead role in directing Front Desk receptionists and, estheticians, when required.
- Ensure all established guidelines and polices are adhered to. This includes but is not limited to:
- Staff should follow the correct arrival procedures with special emphasis on asking/advising and obtaining necessary information such as departure times, times of room servicing, etc.
- Follow and implement the cancellation and no show procedures.
- Assure staff is aware of and update client information.
- Maintain the Front Desk clean/tidy and in stocked condition with stationery supplies.
- Take detailed inventory of products for sale and for use in service rooms.
- Analyze guest reviews, and follow up with provider to ensure 100% satisfaction.
- Ability to book appointments.
- Communicate with estheticians to ensure all guest needs are completed.
- Be fully aware of all emergency procedures.
- Act in a professional manner in all situations equally with clients as well as peers.
- Greet all clients coming and going through the lobby area.
- Answer the phone system in a professional manner.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
- Ensure Team Members have a current knowledge of all services offered, promotions, local area and other general product knowledge necessary to perform their duties
- Handle cash and run to bank when change is needed
- Close guest accounts at the time of check out ensuring the client’s service was enjoyable, resolving issues as necessary
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies/applicable law.
- Train new front office staff, especially in areas of the Front Desk and appointment booking.
- Supervise Front Desk Receptionists to ensure exceptional service, and that policies and procedures are being followed correctly
- Monitor the schedule of estheticians daily in case of a late start or early departure.
- Create Front Desk monthly schedule, ensuring appropriate coverage. Front Desk Manager is expected to work any lapses in coverage.
- Develop, implement and update (as necessary) a Training Guide for Front Desk.
- Make sure staff is completing daily tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to maintain a pleasant disposition and function efficiently in high-stress/pressure work environments. Solid interpersonal skills and a positive attitude are a must.
- Computer experience is needed.
- Good telephone voice and excellent/professional communication skills are required.
- Ability to listen effectively, to speak and write English clearly.
- Detailed and sales oriented.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to use a booking system and troubleshoot software problems
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Attendance, as scheduled, is a critical element in all positions at Bare Necessity Wax & Spa
- Familiarity with waxing and facials is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
