Our privately owned optometry clinic is looking for a full-time Front Desk Clerk.
This Front Desk/check out position is responsible for greeting patients as they come in and checking out patients at the end of their appointments. Offering them friendly and prompt assistance while coordinating the patient’s care and treatment plan and/or referrals.
General duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting insurance information, ordering contact lenses, data entry, collecting co-pays. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Including light cleaning and upkeep of the office.
· Working knowledge of general office duties. · Good verbal and written communication skills. · Good telephone skills. · Excellent customer service skills. · Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and time management. · Ability to maintain confidentiality and thorough knowledge of HIPAA policies and procedures.
