Front Desk Associate

The ideal candidate should be reliable, people-oriented, finding joy in engaging with our members on a day-to-day basis and collaborating with management to continue to deliver the ultimate OMAA experience. Additionally, they should have a keen eye for detail and a strong passion for customer service. Furthermore, it's essential that the candidate possesses a deep enthusiasm for fitness and well-being.
Job Description
The Front Desk Associatereports to Academy Managers and will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to OMAA members, prospective members, and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Front Desk Tasks
- Greet members/guests upon entering and leaving the Academy
- Make eye contact with all members/guests
- Help Punch in all members as they enter the Academy
- Collect past due amounts.
- Cancel, freeze or charge day fee as necessary
- Enter notes in system for members with balances
- Ring up memberships or merchandise in register
- Answer telephone calls correctly as outlined in the Ocelotl Martial Arts Manual.
- Follow Info calls procedures as explained in OMAA manual
- Adhere to the 10/5 Rule (make eye contact within 10ft, greet within 5ft.)
- Keep Recap sheets neat, organized and accurate
- Do weekly inventory
- Be prepared to explain the day’s current totals to management at any given time
- Do restroom checks every 30 minutes
Required General Tasks
- The primary goal of the Front Desk Associate is to support the Academy in growing membership while upholding the highest standards of service for OMAA, with a specific emphasis on retention
- Give tours to interested walk-in costumers.
- Help with posting on social media, by creating marketing post about daily classes.
- Clean bathrooms and Showers.
- Keep Front Desk tidy at all times
- Ensure all areas of Academy look clean and presentable
- Wipe down equipment, gloves, shin guards and wash Gi’s and all service areas immediately after each use
- Ensure that the restroom area is clean and tidy (using gloves, wipe down spotty mirrors and wet sink tops, pick up any debris or paper off floors, close locker doors, pick up any hair or trash from shower and changing room stalls, close shower doors)
- Keep up with all sanitation and disinfecting procedures during shift
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
· 1 years of exceptional customer service skills in a retail or hospitality environment; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member’s expectations.
· Basic computer proficiency.
· A passion for fitness and health.
· Upbeat and positive attitude
· Punctuality and reliability are a must.
· Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
· Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
· High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
· Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Demands
· Continual standing and walking during shift.
· Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.

Pay: $9.00 - $12.56 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
