Front Desk Staff - Job Description and Expectations

Summary:
Above all else, Front Desk Associates are to provide a high level of customer service to all members and prospective members throughout the course of their shift. Front Desk Associates are primarily responsible for assisting members with daily needs including, but not limited to, answering phones, answering general questions, check-in, point-of-sale, and directing members & prospective members to management or membership sales.
Daily Responsibilities:
1) To create and deepen relationships with Members we do know and do not yet know that will create value, connection and community for the Members.
2) Introduce yourself daily to Members you don't know so you know their names and they know yours.
3) Greet customers and members by Name as they arrive and depart the facility.
4) Greet all Guests and Members before they greet you in a warm, friendly way that lets them know you will take care of them with fun, courtesy and professionalism. You are the first and last impression of the club and we're counting on you to make us look great on all your interactions with every Member and Guest.
5) Provide exceptional service at the Fuel Bar, including making smoothies and processing transactions. Suggestive sell products to frequent purchasers and recommend add-ons.
6) Remain self-aware of all club events and occurrences and make Members and Guests fully aware of how we can assist them with their success at the club.
7) You must know it all, you must be able to handle 5 things at once, you must have a smile, and you must love every minute of it.
8) Schedule appointments for Endless Pools, Tanning, etc.
9) Record Member phone number and email address for requested spa services and personal training sessions.
10) Process member transactions such as payments, point-of-sale items (i.e. smoothies, merchandise, food & beverage, etc.), tanning packages, guest passes, spa services, etc.
11) Update member billing information as needed.
12) Answer phones and provide a high level of customer service, including directing and transferring calls to the appropriate VIDA employees Master the phones so that you make incoming callers feel happy to be speaking to you. Take and give accurate messages.
13) Ensure that Class Schedules and Marketing materials are fully stocked.
14) Maintain a clean, debris-free, and organized Front Desk, Fuel Bar, and Member’s Lounge.
15) Immediately report any facility or equipment problems to the GM or AGM.
16) Provide impeccable follow-through with all Member comments to ensure that we are exceeding expectations.
17) Fold towels and return to Housekeeping Staff.
18) Attend all required orientation/training sessions, and mandatory Front Desk meetings.
19) Any other duties, which are deemed necessary to the efficient operation of the Front Desk areas.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

- Weekends as needed
