ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure proper delivery of owner and guest services through effective communication while exhibiting the spirit of Aloha.
• Using proper telephone etiquette, answer incoming telephone calls regarding reservations and other general requests such as questions regarding room availability and general hotel information. Transfer or direct calls to appropriate departments or extensions as needed.
• Checking in and checking out guests upon arrival and departure from the resort.
• Ability to work under pressure with constant changes and customer service demands in a small, sometimes noisy environment.
• Must possess the ability to work with computers.

WORK SCHEDULE: Must be flexible. Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.

MENTAL DEMANDS: Must have good attention to detail. Must be able to use discretion and good judgment in many different situations. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to make independent decisions. Need a positive attitude in negative situations. Good phone etiquette is very important; callers must be treated in a friendly and polite manner. Must deal frequently with irate or stressed callers and be able to calm and assist them. Must be able to meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Skill/Knowledge: Working knowledge of computers. Proper telephone etiquette. Typing skills. Math and problem-solving knowledge, Customer Service Experience. Ability to work well with people. Must be flexible and dependable.
• Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous Front Office or Reservation experience recommended.
