Skills/ Requirements for Front Desk Agents
Previous hotel Front Desk experience preferred.
Must be reliable and dependable* Must have excellent customer service skills* Ability to multi-task* Ability to problem solve* Understanding of basic accounting skills
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to our guests
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests; including issuing rooms keys, ensuring that all guests sign a guest registration card and provide a credit card or other method of payment.
- Team Player
- Operate telephone to answer, screen and forward calls, take messages and schedule/change reservations.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Record guest comments/ complaints and refer guest to a manager as necessary.
- Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.
- Maintain room key control and supervise guest access to safe deposit boxes.
- Verify bank and deposits each shift and follow all cash handling and credit policies.
- Resolve guest issues quickly, efficiently, courteously and professionally.
- Responsible for the order and cleanliness of the Front Desk and adjacent work areas.
- Required to clean rooms in emergency situation
- Complete Front Desk communication log daily.
- Ensure all Front Office policies and procedures are consistently applied
Qualifications
- Experience in a IHG Hotel Front Desk position preferred. We will train the right candidate
- Must be able to work flexible hours and days, including weekends and holidays.
- Punctual, dependable, and responsible
- Ability to stand extended periods of time
- Lifting requirements up to 50lbs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
