POSITION PURPOSE:

As a Front Desk Agent you will welcome guests and provide outstanding guest service by answering telephones, making reservations, processing check-in and checkout of guests and answering general questions about the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Meadowlands hotel and surrounding area in a professional manner according to Sunrise Gold Hospitality, LLC high standards of quality.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Welcome all guest and team members into the hotel
  • Ensure lobby area is warm, welcoming and inviting
  • Check in guests, answer phones and take reservations
  • Prepare for guest's arrival
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
  • Work with other departments to ensure a positive guest stay
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests
  • Communicate with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests? needs
  • Provide quick resolution to guest concerns
  • Prepare Front Desk reports
  • Assist with resolving out-of-balance accounts
  • Balance the cash drawer
  • Help prepare the Front Desk for the next shift
  • Should be highly organized, have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and sell effectively
  • Outstanding people skills
  • Trustworthy and results-driven
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and available for all shifts.
  • May include nights, weekends and/or holidays

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • The ability to multitask
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
