Job Description
TRG seeks to identify and hire high-performing talent to introduce fresh new thinking, different perspectives, and varying points of view. We are looking for a forward-thinking, leaning-in, relationship-building (and -maintaining) Recruiting Manager to oversee the full-cycle recruiting process and recruiting team. This freelance/contract position will reside in the People team. You will represent TRG internally and externally as we create award-winning work and offer our full-service advertising and marketing capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Lead the recruiting team by providing direction, guidance, training, coaching, and development to direct reports
- Support and nurture the recruiting team’s career development and learning
- Maintain and evolve our inclusive hiring process to ensure efficiencies and yield the intended outcome: great talent
- Use data (dashboards, metrics, etc.) to synthesize information in forecasting staffing needs and help make business decisions
- Develop new recruiting strategies, processes, policies, and practices – or refine existing ones – for continuous improvement
- Act as a working manager: Roll up your sleeves as staffing demands ebb and flow to source, screen, interview, and hire candidates and process them through to the onboarding stage
- Establish and cultivate partnerships within the agency (hiring managers, People Team partners, employee resource groups, and other TRG team members) and beyond – connect with colleges, organizations, and industry associations to build the talent pipeline and stay updated on new trends, technologies, and best practices for agency applicability
- Complete special projects and human resources/talent assignments for furthering agency objectives, as schedule allows and as needed
- Participate in the HCM/HRIS evaluation project – lead the recruiting integration and implementation process
- Some local and out-of-state travel required (including overnight stays)
What You Are Good At

- Managing various recruiting methods, including looking for unconventional talent
- Working in various technology platforms (we use Workday, Jobvite, HireRight, Handshake, and LinkedIn Recruiter, to name a few)
- Strong, clear, and concise oral and written communication, and giving dynamic presentations
- Using your interpersonal savvy to build relationships with people at all levels
- Organizing and attention to detail; prioritizing
- Leading and influencing with or without authority
- Microsoft suite, Apple tools, virtual networking (Teams, Google Meet, Zoom)
- Collaborative, resourceful, and strategic mindset
What You Have in Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of work and life experiences
- Recruiting experience of seven to ten years, ideally
- Proven track record of driving and delivering results, along with engaging and empathetic leadership skills
