  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Analyze fraud vectors across SquareTrade's platform – complete end-to-end analysis that allows us to better identify the bad actors and improve to improve the experience of good users
    • Develop and maintain metrics and KPI’s that measure risk mitigation strategies and communicate progress to key stakeholders and leadership
    • Outline policies and procedures for mitigating fraud, and ensure compliance within our Operations teams
    • Develop and implement novel fraud fighting platforms by defining requirements and working cross-functionally with technical teams (i.e., engineering, product, and analytics) to enable fraud risk decision strategies across multiple technology platforms.
    • Manage components of the Fraud ecosystem that detect and prevent fraud
    • Contribute to projects and strategic initiatives for both fraud prevention and support of business growth
    • Manipulate and understand large amounts of complex data to monitor and uncover behaviors and trends in fraudulent activity.
    • Engage with stakeholders across the company in support of the organization’s strategic programs and goals
    • Use data-driven decision-making to identify potential fraud and investigate potential fraudulent activities
    • Identify new opportunities and strategies to strengthen controls and processes
    • Reduce fraud losses through identification of trends and development of trust and safety strategies and business rules;
    • Improve the efficiency of trust and safety processes, including alerts and review processes; and
    • Minimize negative customer experiences by understanding friction points and implementing technology-based solutions to manage trends.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • You have at least 2 years of Fraud management experience in Fraud Strategy or Fraud Operations areas, developing fraud prevention strategies, policies, and procedures
    • Experience with various fraud detection, device profiling, customer verification, document verification technologies is highly preferred
    • Experience working with law enforcement is highly desirable
    • You can represent the company in legal and regulatory matters
    • You collaboratively work with functional groups such as Customer Service, Product Management, and Technology to build/enhance tools, data sources, system capabilities, and fraud detection methods
    • You have problem solving and excellent analytical skills and knowledge of data abstraction (using SQL/R/SAS/Python/etc) with proven ability to process vast amounts of data into meaningful information

    (Colorado Only) Pursuant to applicable law, SquareTrade estimates the possible compensation for this role, if hired in Colorado, to be within the following range: $26.00- $36.00. (Per hour)
