Job description

The Fraud Prevention Analyst reviews all incoming account requests for new gaming accounts, changed billing information/credit card information for existing accounts, and assesses risk per SEA policy. Conducts in-depth analysis of core fraud issues, including new credit card fraud patterns and potentially hijacked/phished accounts. The specialist will use internal tools for scanning orders, and review and analyze reports to identify and address all potential credit card fraud issues that may impact gaming accounts.
Requirements

  • Complete fraud order scanning accurately and promptly.
  • Performs analysis on existing and newly emerging fraud patterns.
  • Manages the use of fraud and company-specific tools.
  • Works closely with other team members to ensure that new accounts are verified and reviewed promptly so that new gamer experiences are not adversely affected.
  • Identifies potential process improvements in the fraud processes.
  • Maintains effective working relationships across the team and departments as necessary.
  • Contact customers to validate the authenticity of clients' accounts.
  • Communicates with external groups for group needs.
  • Compiles and creates reports to clearly outline the department's progress.
  • Flexibility in work schedule; able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two or more years of full-time work experience (preferably in the digital media, gaming or finance/banking industries).
  • Familiarity with online gaming and MMORPGs a plus.
  • Gaming and digital media, specifically fraud investigation experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of internet technologies and services.
  • Knowledge of the entertainment software industry.

  • Japanese language skills and experience working with Japanese corporations (not required, but a plus).
