Mission - Essence of the Job:
You will serve as a key strategic thought partner to the VP of Finance, helping ensure we accurately track progress against plan, across all departments. You will identify and flag issues as they arise and be excited about tackling solutions to fix them.
Outcomes:
Within 30 days of this job, your dashboard will be live. You will have already identified challenges with our data and will have a detailed project plan in place with how to fix it. You will be intimately familiar with BoomPop’s operating forecast model and partner with the VP of Finance to improve and optimize model structure and assumptions.
Within 60 days, your foundation will be built, and you will transition to proactively identifying opportunities, risks, and challenges for the team. You will lead monthly meetings with business leaders, walking them through key performance indicators and ROI-based frameworks. You will help leadership to understand how to interpret analysis results and improve operating performance.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a highly analytical role, ideally in a financial operating role within a fast-growing technology or healthcare company and/or at a top-tier management consulting firm or investment bank.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Process improvement experience within a high-growth startup.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Experience with Data Visualization & Analysis software.
- Consider yourself an Excel/Google Sheets expert and geek out about your love for spreadsheets.
- Experience with SQL preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance.
- Deep understanding of common financial metrics such as retention, LTV, CAC, and ARR.
