As the FP&A Analyst / Associate you will:
- Prepare and maintain key performance indicators (KPI) reports and operational dashboards for diverse project portfolios across the entire organization.
- Provide close support for the design, development, implementation, and management of the model and forecast activities by collaborating closely with key stakeholders.
- Manage Dubin Clark financial planning, budget, and cash flow projections.
- Generate monthly variance reports, research, and review discrepancies and financial errors with stakeholders, and record corrective entries for adjustment.
- Create and analyze reports to answer questions, identify issues, and develop short and long-term solutions in support of the organization’s operational and growth strategies.
- Perform month-end closing procedures and maintain accurate financial picture of the Dubin Clark portfolio. Work autonomously to ensure Financial Statements, KPI and other reports are presented free of error and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the management of Small Business Investment Company, SBIC, fund requirements: reporting requirements, accounting and valuation standards, reserving, drawing, and managing SBA leverage, and preparing for SBA examinations
- Work with the investment team and legal counsel to determine if the investments being considered qualify for as a small business company as defined in the SBA regulations.
- Collect, review and sign off on all necessary supporting documents obtained from the small business company in connection with the financing.
- Work with the investment team, portfolio reporting and analysis team and legal counsel on all deal activity post-closing – add-on activity, transfers etc.
- Assist the accounting team with submitting quarterly filings to the SBA.
- Maintain appropriate records for each portfolio company.
- Work with the accounting team addressing all inquiries made during the annual SBA examination
To be successful in the role you must possess:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or marketing preferred
- 1‐3 years of post‐undergrad management consulting, investment banking, corporate finance or general finance / accounting experience with superior performance
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to interact with key stakeholders
- Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills, and excellent research skills
- Ability to work independently and meet demanding deadlines
- Strong ethics and values
- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
