What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conduct financial forecasting, reporting, and track operational metrics.
- Analyze financial data and construct financial models to support decision-making.
- Prepare reports on financial performance for regular leadership reviews.
- Review past results, conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and suggest improvements.
- Assess financial performance by comparing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Lead the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Offer analysis of trends and forecasts, recommending optimization actions.
- Recommend actions based on data analysis and interpretation, including studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
- Drive process enhancements, such as creating standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
- Enhance productivity through the development of automated reporting and forecasting tools.
- Conduct market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comparisons.
- Maintain a solid foundation in financial analysis by creating forecasts and models.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is typically required for financial analyst roles; familiarity with data query and management tools such as Access, SQL, and Business Objects is highly beneficial.
What You Bring to the table:
- 3-5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
- High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
- Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- Financial modeling: 3 years (Required)
- Financial analysis: 3 years (Preferred)
- Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Required)
- Financial report writing: 3 years (Required)
