Job SummaryYour main tasks will include providing financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support the management team at Orion180. This individual will assist with forecasting, reporting, and analytics during the monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual planning cycles.Role and ResponsibilitiesTo perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and should demonstrate the following competencies to consistently perform the essential functions of this position. All employees are expected to adhere to and be knowledgeable of Orion180 operations standards, established security/safety rules, and requirements for attendance. The requirements listed below are representative of the fundamental knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully:
- Prepare monthly reporting and analysis for management review
- Partner with business leaders to forecast and analyze operating expenses
- Handle capital expenditure forecasting and reporting
- Partner with leadership to generate reasons for capital projects
- Review monthly spending in comparison to budgets, forecasts, and prior year
- Generate/build ad hoc reports and analyses
- Drive financial modeling improvements in planning and forecast to improve process efficiencies
- Update forecasts with inputs from management
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Economics, MBA preferred
- Min 3 years experience preferred
- Solid Understanding of GAAP
- Robust knowledge of Microsoft Excel analysis skills
- Possess a high level of technical proficiency alongside an impressive ability to swiftly grasp and adapt to new information
- Coachable and independent
- Proactive self-starter
- Adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with Oracle NetSuite, ADP, and Microsoft Power BI a plus
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial analysis and projections a plus
While performing general office duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, and reading, being able to lift light objects (<25lbs), and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist or stoop to open/close cabinets, and reach for files or other standard office-type objects.
Work EnvironmentThe office environment is quiet and, in a temperature, controlled setting with random adjustments in noise or temperature due to conversations, unscheduled maintenance repairs to the building or its interior offices, or unpredictable situations due to weather or other acts beyond company control. An employee must be willing to work their regularly assigned work schedule for their duties and/or job responsibilities and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on the company/department needs, project requirements, or customer demands.
