POSITION OVERVIEW
The Fountain Worker is a key member of our team, responsible for crafting and serving a delightful array of beverages, food, treats, and refreshments to our valued customers. This role entails combining excellent customer service with skillful preparation to ensure an enjoyable experience for all guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude, providing prompt and courteous service
- Take orders, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations to enhance the customer experience
- Skillfully prepare and serve a variety of beverages, food, milkshakes, snacks, and other fountain treats
- Ensure consistent quality in drink and dessert preparation, following established recipes and procedures
- Accurately process and fulfill customer orders, paying attention to special requests or dietary restrictions
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the fountain area, countertops, equipment, and utensils
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and use the Point of Sale (POS) system effectively
- Provide accurate change and receipts to customers
- Promote daily specials, new menu items, or promotions to encourage customers to try a variety of offerings
- Familiarize yourself with the menu, ingredients, and preparation techniques to confidently assist customers and answer inquiries
- Efficiently manage multiple orders, ensuring timely preparation and serving
- Ensure that the fountain area, display cases, and seating areas are well-maintained and visually appealing
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Must have 6 months previous cash handling experience
- Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner
- Basic math skills for processing payments and making change
- Attention to detail in order preparation and presentation
- Food safety and hygiene knowledge, including proper sanitation practices
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, energetic and is willing to always learn
- Professionally groomed in a manner consistent with Company appearance standards
- Work requires attention to detail and accuracy
- Work requires interactions with guests, public and fellow Members
- Basic computer skills and experience with InfoGenesis preferred
- Must be able to multitask
- Ability to work as part of a team in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to perform a variety of job responsibilities with extreme care, concern and detail.
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, statutory requirements regarding health and food safety, sanitation, proper chemical usage, fire procedures.
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
