Requirements for Foundry Maintenance Manager
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Evaluate the current workforce skillset, plans and implements a maintenance training program.
- Collaborates with engineers, partners, and suppliers to meet business goals in accordance with the sustainable use of facilities and budget demands.
- Constructs an efficient facility maintenance team and guides training sessions to ensure quality performance.
- Evaluates the operation's effectiveness with current utilities and equipment; provides appropriate solutions to challenges and risks.
- Oversees inspections, repairs and updates of facilities and relevant operational activities; maintains order at the facility.
- Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States
SKILLS:
Skills and Abilities Required for Foundry Maintenance Manager
Skills and qualifications include manufacturing experience, a Six Sigma certification, and management skills. Materials procurement, employee supervision and training, scrap reduction, plant maintenance, and plan implementation. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Career Opportunity For Foundry Maintenance Manager
As the Foundry Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the foundry, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are functioning efficiently and safely.
- The Foundry Maintenance Manager supervises maintenance activities for equipment, facilities, and infrastructure in the foundry. The manager will communicate with upper management, peers, contractors, and technicians to ensure maintenance goals are reached.
- Manages and oversees overall plant operations which may include finance, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, materials, quality assurance/control, human resources and information systems. Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with other departments to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs and replacements.
- Work closely with other departments to identify and address maintenance needs, implement preventive maintenance programs, and ensure timely repairs and replacements.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies and programs to ensure optimal performance of equipment and machinery.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner - Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and increase equipment lifespan.
- Oversee the ordering and inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring adequate supply and cost-effective purchasing - Monitor and analyze maintenance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and policies - Manage maintenance budget and ensure cost-effective operations - Stay updated with industry developments and advancements in maintenance technology and techniques
