Footwear Design Assistant - Entry Level

BBC International LLC is an established leader in the footwear industry specializing in sourcing, design, and technology for branded, licensed, and in-house owned brands. We currently have an opportunity as we are seeking a creative Footwear Designer assistant for our lifestyle brand division.

The primary function of this full-time role includes but are not limited to:

• Contributing design team member of a division of lifestyle brands.
• Concept and design of children’s footwear.
• Market/ Trend research and creation of trend presentation
• Detail spec entry and collaboration of designs to overseas office/ sample room facilities submitted via PLM System.
• Selection of materials, trims and components that align with design aesthetics and brand DNA to address market opportunities.
• Following through of design requests from development to final production confirmation.
• Document notes for all Licensor comments.
• Assist the product management team with sample approvals.
• Assist with receiving and shipping of samples.
• Organization/ upkeep of samples and cleaning/removing of samples from work areas.
• Any other business as assigned by the Design Director.

Qualifications- Education/ Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Footwear Design, &/ or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in design software - Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong knowledge level of fashion trends, competitive products, and market influences.
• Thrive working within a dynamic, high-performing, and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
