Buehler's Food Truck Lead prepares food for our customers visiting our Food Truck. We have many exciting and extensive menus and love to make each meal a great experience for our customers. One of our company strategies is to become the Best in Food Service and have the Freshest Foods, which that starts with one meal at a time.
Our Food Truck teammates enjoy preparing and serving food while following established food production programs and procedures.
A typical day for a Food Truck Lead may include:
- Drive a large company vehicle including Food Truck, box truck catering van etc.
- Knowledge of working with propane tanks and basic generator operation
- Operate the grill, fryers and related equipment with basic trouble shooting skills when necessary
- Set-up, organizes, and prepares food using established production procedures and systems
- Comply with sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards, and housekeeping to keep the work area clean
- Observe proper food handling techniques
- Store food properly and safely, mark the date and item
- Handle cash, Take orders, and serve food to customers
- Coordinate food quantities, orders timelines and staffing for future Food Truck events
- Help Foodservice with food prep and/or events as needed when Food truck is not booked

Our legal team wants you to know what's required for this role:
- Attained at least 21 years of age
- Able to meet the requirements to occasionally stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# up to 80#
- Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and can do simple math problems
- Able to work within our deli/kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef's knives...so frequently you will be exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise

Must be available to be scheduled 35+hrs a week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
