Food Truck Attendant

HP Hospitality Group is a company with properties in Key Largo, Islamorada, and Marathon. We are looking for an applicant that has previous experience with food and beverage. Have all requirements to serve food to guests.

SUMMARY

The Food Truck Attendant is the front-line face of a Food Truck business and because of this attendants must be attentive and responsive to customers. A food service worker’s responsibilities include a wide range of tasks that keep the kitchen running smoothly, from cleaning up after cooking to adhering to food safety regulations. Candidates must be able to anticipate the customer’s needs and will need to be on their feet most of the day.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers as they approach the truck.
• Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
• Inform customers of daily specials.
• Take beverage and food orders.
• Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes. (Manual tickets or electronic POS systems)
• Follow established recipes to prepare menu items.
• Serve food and/or beverages to customers in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner.
• Follow guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control.
• Stock service window area with supplies such as utensils, bags, condiments, to-go containers.
• Work with other staff members and be a team player.
• Walking around the property to attract customers during slower periods.

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Proven work experience as a Food Service Worker or similar role

· Must be on their feet for long periods of time.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Basic mathematical skills

· Proficient understanding of food allergies and modified diets

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.00 - $15.00/hour plus tips

· A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred

Job Type: Part-time
