The Job
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a FoodServices Supervisorwho oversees the daily operations of the Arrowhead Medical Center cafeteria and supervises food service staff. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: supervise all cashiers and cafeteria servers, ensuring customer service, setup and presentation of the café. Assist with supervising food service staff involved in food preparation for patient meal service, catering services and vending services; train and evaluate work performance; assist with hiring and disciplinary actions; assure proper staffing at all times and ensure proper methods of food preparation.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must indicate their shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire of the application. Shift differentials are provided.
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical and verification of employment history and education.
Vaccination Requirement: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In addition, CDPH Public Health Officer Orders updated on February 22, 2022 requires all workers in health care settings currently eligible for boosters, who provide services or work in the impacted facilities must be "fully vaccinated and boosted" for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022. Workers may be exempt from the vaccination requirements under section (1). Vaccination Exemptions: Upon hire, candidates will be required to submit proof of vaccination including the booster dose or request an exemption from the vaccination and booster requirements based on either religious belief or medical reasons.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience of large quantity food preparation experience in a hospital, detention center, school cafeteria or, other institutional setting.
Substitution:
An associate's degree in food and hospitality, dietetics or restaurant management may substitute for one (1) year of the experience.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a ServSafe Manager certification issued by the National Restaurant Association, six (6) months of experience working with a tray line, and regulatory experience. Preference will be given to those with supervisory and/or lead experience.
