Premier Food Service Consulting is seeking to hire an experienced Food Service Director for a facility located in the Kankakee, IL area. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced and innovative hands-on manager to join our fast growing management team and help to build our business with a long term partnership.

Minimum Requirements For This Position:
- Catering and event management experience is required.
- Demonstrate ability to relate well with individuals representing a wide range of backgrounds, education and skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and successful interactions with client relations and customer service.
- Experience in progressive experiences pertaining to food production as well as proficiency in quality catered events.
- Proficient in use of technology to provide efficient business management and work flow. Proficient in POS system management, Microsoft products and cloud based applications.
- Demonstrated progressive work experience, organizational skills and problem solving techniques.
- Degree in culinary arts or hospitality related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience within Food Service operations in a higher education setting preferred.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Direct and supervise a small core team of employees.
- Direct and maintain proper sanitation and production standards.
- Ensure quality of finished products in an consistent and meaningful manner.
- Plan and implement daily culinary operations to include campus café and catering services.
- Direct and oversee campus-wide vending operations.
- Oversee and maintain catering events within a wide range of client needs and budget parameters.
- Develop menus for café and retail operations within nutritional and financial parameters while integrating market trends, local needs and efficient production.
- Recruit, select and train all staff.
- Increase sales and convenience for guests, students and staff through effective marketing and communication.
- Control revenue and expenses to meet financial goals.

IDEAL SCHEDULE WITH PRIMARY OPERATIONS BEING MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, BETWEEN 7AM-3PM. BONUS DAYS OFF THROUGHOUT THE YEAR BASED ON REDUCED HOURS WITHIN THE FACILITY.
