Job Description:
About the Role:
The Director, Information Technology will be responsibly for our Commercial and Customer Service applications. This person will collaborate with Sr. Management, business partners and suppliers to align priorities and plan/execute strategies that enable successful business transformation along with continuous process improvement efforts for the Commercial, Customer Service and Business Unit teams. The Director, Information Technology will be part of the IT extended leadership team helping to execute and deliver on our IT and business strategies. This may include both managing/leading day-to-day tasks and large scale highly complex strategic initiatives. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to interact with various levels of the organization. Considered a working leader at TreeHouse Foods, this role contributes leadership and experience to their area of responsibility while also developing a team of managers/leaders, direct reports and/or contingent workers.
Position Responsibilities:
Human Capital Development Management
- Develop each of his/her assigned team members by fully leveraging all facets of IT career development.
- Ensure effective development and delivery of Performance Reviews and midyear reviews for all assigned and (when applicable) matrixed personnel.
- Actively manage processes associated with creation of individual development plans and associated training plans for assigned personnel to ensure that they are both feasible and in line with organizational goals.
- Oversee others, and personally, actively coach others toward demonstrating all behaviors defined by the TreeHouse Vision, Mission and Values.
- Actively participate in staff calibration activities and talent management reviews.
- Closely collaborate with Human Resources and peers to fill personnel vacancies and enable career opportunities.
- Directly lead and contribute knowledge expertise to significant portions of the IT career development procedures and processes.
- Build highly effective leaders and leadership teams that operate with trust to ensure success.
Business Partner / Supplier Relations and Product Delivery
- Ensure strategic alignment of initiatives with Sr. Management and growth focused business transformation activities.
- Deliver large scale initiatives on time, within budget and in accordance with specified levels of quality.
- In collaboration with Sr. Management, business partners and suppliers, actively manage the process to ensure ongoing execution / continuous improvement of measured service level objectives balanced with cost control.
- Develop and leverage partnerships (and relationships) with Sr. Management, business partners and suppliers to meet business needs.
- Effectively measure and report results of service and development work to business partners in terms that they see as valuable and understandable.
- Anticipate future information technology needs based upon business trends and collaborate with internal and external suppliers to successfully deliver solutions that address them.
- Build and nurture senior level partnerships throughout THS that promote mutual trust.
Change Leadership
- Develop and execute organization change management vehicles/programs/campaigns and initiatives using established methods to support the introduction of IT deliverables.
- Ensure frequent, continuous and effective communications across IT, with key suppliers, Sr. Management and business partners via both formal and informal channels/mechanisms.
- Successfully sponsor "Change” resulting in effective delivery of IT solutions that bring maximum business value to the TreeHouse Foods.
Process and Technology Management
- Lead others to exploit available processes and technology.
- Hold others accountable to ensure disciplined and consistent use of established methodologies, tools and techniques to plan, organize, actuate and control delivery of IT products and services.
- Actively manage team(s) to ensure they innovate and continuously improve IT internal work and management processes.
Planning and Fiscal Management
- Provide direction on large-scale resource plans that enable successful business operations and, when application, business transformation.
- Ensure (owned and matrixed) resources are allocated in line with tactical plans and in consideration of strategic priorities.
- Actively manage team(s) adherence to assigned project(s) and operational budgets.
- Define/refine IT service and product strategies.
- Actively manage and establish direction for owned portions of the IT strategies.
About You:
You’ll fit right in if you have:
- 12+ Years of IT experience, with 8+ years of leadership
- Experience building/developing teams (consisting of both employee and external resources)
- Experience building IT solution road maps
- Continuous Improvement mentality
- Strong Business Acumen (preferable consumer goods industry)
- ERP Experience (preferable SAP)
- Experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud and/or Consumer Goods Cloud)
- Bachelor’s Degree (Information Technology, Computer Science or related preferred)
