Responsible for coordinating the entire workstation and communicating with front – and back-of-the-house personnel to provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds guests’ expectations. The way this is achieved is by an overall positive guest satisfaction in an assigned area that includes but is not limited to the cleanliness of the area, drinks filled and tables bussed. Food Servers ensure that their orders are processed and prepared correctly according to the guest's special requests in a timely manner. Observe diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service, respond to additional requests, and determine when the meal has been completed. Total bill and accept payments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet guests (internal and external) with a smile.
- Greet guests with “Welcome to..” and thank them when they leave.
- Must wear slip-resistant shoes.
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes, make suggestions and answer questions regarding food, beverage and service.
- Process guests orders to ensure all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis.
- Communicate with hos/hostess, bus persons, kitchen staff, and bartender and coordinate entire station to ensure guest satisfaction with the food and service.
- Observe diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service, to respond to any additional requests, and to determine when the meal has been completed.
