Position Summary:
Receive grocery merchandise and verify quantities received and costs match invoices and orders. Role model and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others.
Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
Essential Job Functions:

• Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Set up computer to receive merchandise
• Receive merchandise directly from vendors; log receiving; stamp, date, and sign receiving
• Verify food stockroom is organized, clean, and is in compliance with company safety standards
• Process salvage
• Maintain cleanliness of area outside receiving door
• Process returns to vendors and merchandisers
• Answer telephones
• Promote and follow Company initiatives
• Comply with all safety guidelines/standards and corporate policies
• Control Direct Store Delivery (DSD) inventory
• Maintain vendors clean displays and basic shelf locations
• Unload Fred Meyer trucks, time permitting
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus six months related experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to pass drug test
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis and overtime as needed
• Accuracy/attention to detail
• Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
• Familiarity with receiving terms/processes
• Ability to work within set time frames and fixed deadlines
• Fred Meyer lift truck certification/license
• Any licenses or certificates required by federal and/or state

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
• Grocery experience
• Food receiving experience
• Filing experience
• Related retail experience
