Shipping/Receiving Clerk
POSITION SPECIFICS
Reports To: Logistics Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly
ROLE
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for all administrative aspects of the Shipping and Receiving warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Answers incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally
- Schedules, verifies, and keeps records of shipping and receiving orders
- Allocates orders in the system and works with the shipping department to ensure paperwork is accurate
- Processes receiving in Inventory and Inventory Transfer for 3PLs into ERP
- Supports managing Receiving Paperwork and prepares Packets to send to Accounts Payable
- Performs data entry of warehouse metrics onto an Excel spreadsheet
- Files and maintains received data and source documents
- Reviews and researches problem with outbound and inbound freight
- Point of contact for Freight Broker for paperwork requests and status of Plant Warehouse Dock appointments
- Tracks and orders miscellaneous warehouse supplies
- Participates in daily problem solving through communication with the warehouse staff and any appropriate departments, vendors, or clients
- Manages all Shipping/Receiving Paperwork and ERP Entry Validation
- Check in Drivers and Manage Appointment Schedule
- Manage all paperwork of department
- Understands FIFO rotation and how to decipher and determine Lot numbers.
- Ability to assist with inventory audits as needed
- Understand the WMS within X3 - Scanning, allocating, production tracking, stock changes, order fulfillment, and other tasks
- Reporting and KPI for Supervisor and Manager
- Assists with special projects
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Shipping/Receiving Warehouse experience is preferred
- Customer Service and Data Entry experience is preferred
- Must have working experience with Manufacturing ERPs and Microsoft Office applications
