Inventory Receiving Warehouse Clerk

Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

We are looking for an Inventory Receiving Warehouse Clerk to be responsible for receiving, tracking, and transferring of inbound and outbound inventory at our San Benito Foods plant in Hollister, CA. This role will be responsible for receiving and scheduling all deliveries and shipments accurately and timely. Reconciles order issues, facilitates the return of damaged products to vendors, works with warehouse office department to update orders, and enters data into the company’s ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates inbound and outbound shipment activities to ensure timely deliveries are met.
• Coordinates orders with shipping department; books appointments for pickup and delivery.
• Compares packing lists to company purchase orders and ensures that the product in each delivery matches the packing list.
• Checks all receivers for quantities and transfers to appropriate storage location.
• Communicates shipment discrepancies to warehouse manager for resolution.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; Associate degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• 2 years’ related warehouse and 1 year receiving experience.
• 2 years’ experience in operating a computer and manufacturing-related applications; demonstrated computer skills in standard Microsoft office software applications; intermediate Excel skills; MRP experience required; PeopleSoft preferred.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work extended schedule and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

Compensation:

The wage range is $15.88 - $21, based on experience and qualifications.
