We are now looking to fill the role of Food Production Manager to join our team and support the rapidly growing needs. This role will be based in our Texas Central Kitchen (Food Processing Facility). This role will lead a production team and work directly closely with upper management, store managers, and procurement to ensure efficient and effective production to achieve business success.
Function and Responsibilities
- Manage Food Production and be accountable for production qualities.
- Perform basic food preparation, packaging and labeling of Central Kitchen items
- Provide leadership, support and guidance to team members to ensure that food quality, standard operating procedures, sanitation, inventory levels, food safety guidelines, productivity and customer service are met
- Ensure the schedules of the people, facility, equipment, materials, and documents are established and maintained to support the capacity/throughput of the facility.
- Identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing operations that could negatively impact delivery of safe and quality product.
- Recruit, train and manage new staff to meet operation targets.
- Mentor and develop exceptional individual contributors and front-line leaders.
Required skill and abilities
- Bilingual speaker is required (English, Spanish, Mandarin)
- Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control for food manufacturing is required
- Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as basic math skills is required
- Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively
- Ability to develop work standard manufacturing procedural documents
- Strong leadership experience/people managerial, strong verbal and written communications
- Experience in leadership position during a manufacturing plant start-up is a plus
- Knowledge of SOPs, GMPs and HACCP are preferred
- Safe Food Protection Manager certified is preferred
